motap is an ongoing collaborative art project to raise awareness of plastic pollution.
TOY TOTEM
Toy Totem is 9 feet tall, constructed from plastic toys, plant holders, styrofoam and a xmas tree stand.
Toy Totem has been displayed at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis Convention Center, Nicollet Mall and many other locations. Toy Totem is available for events.
mexi-minne marlin
The Mexi-Minne Marlin is made from plastic trash I collected on the beach in Tulum, Mexico—including the syringe. The yellow and orange plastic trash is from my home in Minneapolis. Plastic trash from Minneapolis can reach Mexico via the Mississippi River.

Plastic Obelisk, 13 feet tall, is made from (at the time—2010) non-recyclable plastic trash collected by 13 friends and myself during a 3 month period.
Plastic Obelisk has been displayed at the University of Minnesota, Midtown Global Market and Nicollet Mall.
Plastic Obelisk is available for events.

Plastic Obelisk, 6 x 6 x 6 feet is made from (at the time—2012) non-recyclable plastic trash collected by 20 friends and myself during a 6 month period.
Plastic Obelisk was been displayed at the Green Fair and University of Minnesota. For a few years, Minneapolis accepted 1-7 plastics, during that time, Plastic Pyramid was deconstructed at recycled.
